By Carol Rosati
Carol was intrigued by Bonnie’s “Bugs in a Jar” design set. Rather than stitching it out on a shirt or a totebag, she came up with a very innovative idea!
Carol told us, “I fell in love with your bug in a jar design and I soon found that you could put anything in them by just advancing the steps as you can see with the ant material and the hugs and kisses. I made this for my grandson last night and I think it came out cute. Sort of personalized it with some of my messages. Thank you for the great design.”
Thank you for sharing your idea with everyone, Carol.

What a beautiful little book – absolutely adorable – did you make the verses up yourself, or are they available somewhere, as i’m no poet!

What a special gift from grandma! It is sure to be treasured as a grown father shows it to his son and is passed along through the years.
I would use a heavier stabilizer and hoop both fabric and stabilizer (use spray or iron on interfacing to stabilize fabric and prevent puckering, next time. (Ask me how I know this?)

Loved the book. Can’t wait to try something like that for my grandkids.
Wow.. what a wonderful idea that is. It will be a treasure for sure.
This is absolutely beautiful. The last page brought tears to my eyes as I’m also an “absent”
Granny to 2 of my 3 grandchildren. I wish you all of the joy and happiness that a grandchild can bring !
You did a wonderful job with this book. Book of love with each stitch. You got us all wanting to make books, NOW. I made a baby book, for my great grandson. He is 3 now, you have inspired me to try another. With things that relate to his family. His Mom got killed in a car wreck on her way to work, Dec. 5, 2009. so now my grandson is raising him by himself. He is a great Dad. He takes him fishing with him. so maybe I can put some fish in his book. Thanks for sharing. You did a GREAT job on your book.
Geezz oh man, you all really boosted my ego, thank you for all of the wonderful responses, never expected it……..I am giving my grandson his little book this weekend. I will surely take a picture of him with it when I give it to him.
And again, thank you to Designs by Sick for all of the great ideas that feed our creativity.
