Holly’s creative touch:
I do a lot of sewing for my children and others.
I just finished a purse for one of husband’s coworkers from a pattern from Embroidery Library and had a stroke of pure creativity.
I have had this piece of fabric for maybe three years now, since I started sewing at least, and I have been saving it for just the right project. this seemed like the perfect project. I had denim, leftover from a pair of my husband’s overalls that I had turned into a diaper bag, and some awesome thread that matched the fabric. Now, to just figure out how to do it.
I used the same pattern from Embroidery Library but added a side to add some depth to the purse, having three kids means carrying stuff all the time.
I then put some of the RW Fall Leaves in gold on different parts of the purse and then appliqued some of the fabric butterflies over the leaves.
I used a fancy leaf stitch on the handle and lined the purse with the same butterfly fabric.
My husband wants to show it off more than I do and of course it fits just a few diapers and kid essentials.

You created a very pretty design for the purse. It looks great. I wish I had more imagination for combining designs.
