Just thought you might like to see some pics of the cot quilt I made using the Blue Work Bonnets designs. I stitched them out in pink on white and used contrasting shades of pink fabric to complete my quilt.
I top-stitched all my joins with satin ribbon and backed it with soft cuddly fleece. Although I have been doing embroidery for a couple of years now, this is my first attempt at quilting. My grand daughter has just found out that she is expecting so I’m hoping for a girl.

You did a beautiful job!! This is so pretty! Doesn’t look like a first time quilt. You will inspire other first timers into taking the plunge. Can’t imagine you making anything so nice without someone already in mind. Looked like a labor of love. Hope it’s a girl too!
This quilt is beautiful! I’d love to know if there was any special technique for sewing on the ribbons. Were the ribbons added using any special embroidery hoop?

Thank you to everyone for your comments, the stippling was done on my embroidery machine, the ribbon was stitched over the seam.

Hi Carol Ann, I stitched the ribbon on using my old flat sewing machine. Actually I am surprised about the number of comments regarding the ribbon as I thought that was the way it was done…LOL
Very good work, especially for a 1st quilt.
Is that a blanket on the back?
