I make a lot of FSL, for costuming projects and jewelry accessories.
I find the best thing for getting the stabilizer out of the stitching is to fill my medium-sized slow cooker with water, set it on Low when I start stitching, and when the item is stitched out, throw it into the now-warm water.
I let it sit for at least ten minutes, then let it dry on a rack, with a fan pointed at it.

It gets all the stabilizer out, so the item isn’t stiff and crunchy.

The slow cooker is excellent for dying smaller items. I set it on hig and let the water get hot, then add dye that has been disolved. I find it easier to keep the temperature consistent. If your cooker has a glazed earthenware insert, it shouldn’t stain.
I don’t have a slow cooker, but I love the graphics! That little angel going into the cooking pot makes me smile, as do the little fans.
[editor's note: Thank you! I think I like creating the graphics as much as I do reading the articles and tips and seeing the projects!
