by Carol1. Hoop tear-away stabilizer.

2. Stitch out the triangle design.

3. Press a 4×4 square into a triangle, open it up and lay it down
matching the pressed edges with the stitched triangle. I marked a line to
continue the long edge, made it easier to lay it with the stitched line.

4. Pressed into a triangle.

Matched the pressed edge with the stitched edge.

Secured the block with painters tape, it’s so easy to remove and use again.

Stitched the design, then pressed it back into a triangle. Remove from the hoop.
Now we are ready to stitch the back.
Hoop your tear away stabilizer in the hoop.

5. Stitch the block out.

6. Lay 2, 4×4 blocks (wrong side to wrong side) over the block.

7. Stitch the next color. Then lay your triangle in the upper right corner of the block.

Stitch the next color, and the trim around the block. The final color is the satin stitch, after stitching you can remove the bookmark from the hoop.

Remove the stabilizer from the back.
Now you can use it in your book.
Hope you enjoy this set.

Thanks for a well done tutorial.
Thank you so very much. You answered my question with a tutorial and that was wonderful. I will try making it and with your instructions I’m sure I’ll do fine. Thanks again.
Thank you. This helps a lot!
Excellent directions. Thank you
Thanks for the great tut. and a big thanks for the final picture. I’ve always wondered how one actually looked on a book. I like it ! This will be a great gift to put in a Christmas card. Mary
Thanks a million! I don’t know WHY I didn’t find the instructions on the web page! Thanks again!
Being a reader, I’m always carting at least one book around with me wherever I go, and invariably my bookmark will fall out. I can see how this kind of bookmark wouldn’t slip out as easily as those dangly beaded ones! Hrmmm… I wonder if there are rubber or silicone threads, that will kind of grip the pages for extra security. Anyway, just wanted to say thank you so much for this fantastic idea!
This sure explains a lot to me.I have never tryed anything like this before .I am wondering how you get the first triangle to appear were you have it i will try this latter to-day & see if it is as easy as it looks .Thanks for the great pattern Carolyn
