Elizabeth Oklahoma City, Oklahoma shows us
2 photos of her son’s hooded towel. She used the “Darling Dolphins” set - 4 on each end of the big towel, and 1 on the hood. If time is an issue, you could just put 1 design in each “front” corner of the towel, and a smaller design on the hood…. or the baby’s name on one front corner of the towel, his/her initial on the hood, and an embroidery design on the other front corner of the towel.

These are big towels from Target - after a year of use, they’re still nice & fluffy! My 6-year-old daughter still uses her hooded towels, so they’re good for many years.

I made special towels for my girls and for all of their friends at birthday time. Those are wonderful treasures. Great job.

These towels look great.. did you take regular large towels and made them into hooded towels or did you buy them this way. If you did it yourself, would you please give directions?

children like being able to comfort themselves and these towels are just the perfect thing to let them enjoy swaddling on their own. Great job

I just made a hooded towel for my Granddaughter and she just loves it. I did find thou that when sewing the hood it was very thick due to the gathering of the hood. It looks like you didn’t gather, did you?

Love the hooded towels. I am new to this site and am wondering if there are instructions available for making them? Thankyou

Yes! Looks real simple. How did you do this? Or maybe someone else has some instructions. I’m looking for the least amount of fiddling on the towel itself.

To make the towel find center of bath towel, match to center of wash cloth and sew across. then sew across the top of wash cloth forming hood. super simple

Could you be a little more specific on the instructions please?
Is the washcloth sewn on point?
