I've taken photos of my completed projects off and on but would love to have taken some of all. Unfortunately, some of those photos, taken with a 35mm camera, didn't come out too well but, by the time the photos were processed, the gift item was already gone and a new photo couldn't be taken. It was also rather costly to take photos of all with the 35mm.
Todays digital cameras are wonderful. Instant gratification. And, if the photo dosen't come out so great, delete and reshoot in minutes.

This is an excellent idea. I will start my folder as soon as I get my camera repaired. It will surely help me get organized.

I also take a picture of my work and share it with my best friend who with also shares her projects with me. It's great to look back and get ideas you did before.

Excellent idea! I occasionally take pictures of my projects so I can scrapbook them. But a picture of each item kept in a folder on the computer is brilliant. I frequently forget who I gave what to or want to duplicate something I've given away. With this method I would always have an answer.

I also have been doing that for years. I am now 60 and began photographing my crafts and handwork for the same reasons when I was young around 20. It is amazing all of the things you forget about. Also, I still forget once in a while to take a photo, and it aggrevates me to no end. Be careful not to get into a rush to wrap your gift, and forget to take the photo. :-(

Great Idea! I have been doing something simular and never thought to keep pictures of what I have done for customers. I separate the designs in sections so it's easy to find the referance. I find if I take pictures and print them on photo paper it makes the colors more real.
