Grandmother’s Stitchouts Go Everywhere!

by Carol

I had quite a few stitch-outs of nursery-type animal designs, on fleecy track-suiting material, so one day when I was looking after my 2 year-old great G. Son, I trimmed them and made them into a little washable story book for him, to look at when he goes in the car with his Mum and Dad. He loves it.

Carol’s tip for the week is also our customer project of the week!

I have been wanting to make a “book”. This is a super great idea. Now I don’t feel like my stitch-outs are wasting thread/material.

When I first flashed by this wonderful idea my light bulb went off and I though of another idea. Put these designs on all kinds of cut up pcs. of items that are not good for recycle and have the children use them as their laundry items to fold up same time you are doing the laundry. This will keep them in the Laundry room with you and out of trouble.

I live by a slogan that goes something like: there are 2 types of embroiderers, ones that do a stitchout and the ones that wish they did. Now I have an idea what to do with all of the samples and stitchouts. Thank you, Jackie
