Embroidery instructions

PLEASE READ ALL INSTRUCTIONS BEFORE STARTING!

STEP 1:
Hoop a piece of tear-a-way stabilizer, place hoop on machine and stitch out first color.
This is a placement for the zipper.
Remove hoop and spray right where the placement stitching is. Return hoop to machine.

STEP 2:
Place closed zipper FACE UP over the placement lines, so that the coil lies on top of the center line.

Also center the zipper in the hoop so that the metal pull and end lie outside the stitching area.

The zipper pull must be at the top and the end at the bottom of the hoop.

Stitch color 2, this will stitch the sipper in place.

STEP 3:
Place folded top piece(1.5×7.5) on top of the zipper to the left of zipper so that the fold is centered over coil(as shown in photo).
Secure with temporary spray if needed then stitch color 3.

STEP 4:
Place folded bottom piece(5×7.5) on top of zipper to the right of the zipper(as shown in the photo below) so fabric matches up with top piece.
Stitch color 4 to secure this piece in place.

STEP 5:
This will be a decorative stitch around the zipper this is on BAGS – 1 – 2 – 5 – 6 – 7 – 8 – 9 – 10.
You can skip this color if you wish not to stitch it.

STEP 6:
This is your design on the bag follow color changes for each bag.

LAST STEP:
The last color change you will place the backing fabric face down and then stitch last color.

Remove hoop from machine and then remove bag and all the tear-a-way stablizer from bag.
Trim around bag and trim zipper ends also, then turn right side out and press and your done.

  2. Cheryl Talbot says:

I agree! Pictures would certainly be a great help with these projects.

  3. Leigh Ann says:

I found out the hard way that one very important step has been left out of these instructions but is required in order to turn the item right side out:

Before stitching the final color, OPEN THE ZIPPER making sure the zipper pull is clear from all areas to be stitched.

  4. Pamela says:

I agree a picture of project would help.
I like to see the finished item before i`d want to make it.
A picture Paints a thousand words.
