I just embroidered 13 bibbed aprons for a Luau we are having. The aprons were white and I put a pig in a hula skirt on them.
Instead of marking them with a pencil I pressed them with an iron.
I folded it horizontal pressed and then vertically pressed. Then when I went to put it in my hoop I used the fold marks to match to the marks on my hoops.
No marks to remove!

I would like to have seen a picture of your bibs
This is absolutely the very best tip re: aligning designs that I have ever seen. Can hardly wait to give it a try myself.
Thanks so much for sharing.
What a great idea. Will have to remember this one
I do that. Ialso bought washable crayons and use those for marking. Yes, has to be washed. Some fabric does not hold the press long enough, so I did that.
I also use pressing marks instead of blue marker and most times I find it very satisfactory
oh my lands, what a great idea. I knew I had those little arrows on my hoop, but I never thought to line them up, just drew the cross down the middle and set it up that way. Smack! that is me hitting my forehead!
THANKJ FOR THE TIP VERY USEFUL
