Before cutting down the front of your sweatshirt, iron on a three inch stip of interfacing or stablizerĀ down the middle. The front will not curlĀ or get out of shape when it is cut.

This sounds like a very good idea. I am going to try this.
Jacqualin
excellent idea …Thanks
I is a wonderful subjection.
Great tip–will definitly use it!!
What a great idea!!!
Thanks for the idea. I can’t believe I have sewn several sweat shirts and never thought of this. Cutting has always been the hardest part of the project. Thanks for sharing
You are right. I use this hint all the time. Don’t remember where I first found it, but it wi great.
THIS IS SO GREAT OF A IDEA. I WILL BE DOING SWEAT SHIRTS THIS FALL AND GREATLY APPRECIATE YOUR TIME SAVING HINT. GOOD JOB.
I never even thought of this. What a great idea. I would have forgotten the fabric rolls until after I cut it.
Gee!! Now why didn’t I think of that? LOL Thanks for the great tip.
Super ideal. What is the first thing a teeshirt or sweatshirt does when you cut it-curl.
WHAT A TIME SAVING IDEA, I ALWAYS BASTE STITCH BOTH SIDES BEFORE I CUT. THIS IS SEW MUCH FASTER. THANK YOU FRANCES
Thanks for the positive feedback. The stablizer or interfacing, also, keeps the sweat shirt from geting out of shape.
This is a great tip. I always wondered how to keep the sweatshirt from getting out of shape.
Do you put the interface on the outside or the inside of the sweatshirt before you cut it?
