I use my Painter’s Tape to label rows on my quilt or number my quilt blocks, or even fabrics for placement for my project.
Comes off my fabric with no residue.
I used to use straight pens and paper…no more!

what a great idea — I always get stabbed when ruffling thru my block stacks to get the top organized… my poor hubby, his first questions is always “how many pins are there to bite me!?” — so he will love this solution too!
What a great idea. I’ve been using little rollovers of blue tape to attach bottom corners of my small quilties to wall to keep them from curling up – now I can put this idea to work….thanks!
I have used painters tape for years. This is important, always put the tape in the same corner of each block, (I do upper left ) so the block doesn’t get turned sideways or upside down. I label rows with letters, and each block with numbers ei A1 A2 A3 then B1 B2 B3
Great idea. Get tired of pins and then stopping the bleeding.
The idea of using painters tape sounds marvelous! I am new to machine embroidery, but have been a seamstress for over 50 years. I have found that one is NEVER too old or “knows enough” not to learn something new every day. Thanks Lorie and to Mary Lou for the added info. You are lovely ladies.
