POTW – In The Hoop Mitten Banner

Supplies:
Fabric of your choice
Thread
Ribbon of your choice
Med weight Tear-a-way
Stabilizer or Vilene.
NOTE: If using cotton fabric itís best to iron on a light weight interfacing to back of fabric.

CC=Color Change
Step 1
Hoop stabilizer and place hoop on machine. Stitch CC-1, this is a placement stitch.

Step 2
Place your fabric over placement stitch making sure it covers well.
Stitch CC-2, this will tack down fabric to stabilizer. †Once it is tacked
down remove hoop from machine and trim as close as possible to the
stitching line. †Place hoop back on machine.

Step 3
Stitch CC-3, this is placement stitch for top of mitten.

Step 4
Place your fabric over placement stitch making sure it covers well.
Stitch CC-4, this will tack down fabric to stabilizer.
Once it is tacked down remove hoop from machine and trim as close as possible to the
stitching line.
Place hoop back on machine.
Stitch CC-5-5 & 7, this is the stars, outline of the stars and the large letter.

Step 5 Slide your backing fabric under hoop right side facing down and then stitch CC-8. This will tack back fabric to hoop. Once it is tacked down remove hoop from machine and trim as close as possible to the stitching line. Place hoop back on machine.

Step 6 Stitch CC-9-10 & 11, this is the bottom satin(mitten), top satin(cuff) and the button holes. Remove from hoop. Make all the letters in your phrase and then add ribbon, hang and youíre finished.
