This works great. I do the same thing all the time. I thought of it one day because I always have an emery board in my desk which is right next to my machine,and tried it one day when the thread I was using kept catching my thread. Thanks for dharing it with everyone.

In fact I just did this very thing last night.I had a spool of thread that snagged the thread.I always keep an emory board handy.
