Sometimes tips are complicated, but some of the very best are very simple . . . here’s my tip for trimming jump stitches when one is incorporating water soluble stabilizer (WSS) into their project.
If you’re using water soluble stabilizer for a topper, trim the jump stitches before you remove the WSS. It’s much easier to find them and snip them when using this simple technique!

I wish I’d thought to send this tip in! I find it is certainly true, especially on the gauze diaper burps I make. My scissor tips tend to get caught in the threads of the diaper otherwise. Great idea.
Just this past weekend while embroidering on polar fleece I discovered this for myself. When I was trimming the jump stitch after washing out the WSS I gave the fleece a slight haircut.
An additional note about jumpstiches and WSS. I often put a scrap over areas already stiched on any embroidery when doing the outline and details. Those are usually full of jumps and again the WSS creates ease in finding and snipping them.
The secret to cutting those threads and around the stablizer is to use blunt ended scissors. That way, you can’t cut or poke the design.
Works great if you can get some medical operationg scissors….
Do you have any cutwork design sets on the list of sets.If so please guide my search so that i may find it.Your Jacbean seet is great. Will have to order.Thank you for free design from the set 2day.fawzia
