Has anyone ever machine embroidered on canvas bags before? Do I need much in the way of stabilizer? They bags are stiff. Do I put them in the hoop or out?

I have sewn on them, i used lightweight stabilizer and spray adhesive. If you try to hoop them it is difficult because they are so thick and secondly I was afraid it might leave apermanent hoop ring. HUGZ

I have hooped canvas tote bags and used a tear away stabilizer. I have pictures of two in my album.
