La cole, did you look at the instruction from SICK.
Here the link. http://www.designsbysick.com/article...r-pencil-bags/ It sounds like all you need to do is unzipp the zipper and turn it inside out. If you by misstake stitched over the top on the zipper. You can clip the few stitches to unzipp it. Last edited by skipper; 2 Weeks Ago at 09:24 PM. |

I followed the instructions (even printed them out)... There is no mention of opening the zipper in the directions. So, in my puny chicken mind, I did everything correctly.

La cole, This is there instruction (Trim around bag and trim zipper ends also, then turn right side out and press and your done.) They forgot to tell you to unzipp the zipper in order to turn it right side out. I hope this helps. Sorry for any headace you occurred, trying to follow their instructions.

Thanks for the help, skipper. They forgot to say to open the zipper BEFORE stitching the last color. I couldn't figure out any other way to turn it and I didn't want to take apart my machine just to do this small bit of restitching.

I wonder how many others have run into this problem. I haven't done the pencil cases but I have done the animal coin bags and that is the same way you turn them inside out is to leave the zipper unzipped. Maybe they need a support ticket to add this bit of info.

Yeah, it should be updated. I would think that once the final version is ready for posting that the instructions would be checked. I don't sew much and don't do zippers, so I don't think about things like that.
I took this design apart and enlarged it to fit my 240x150 hoop to make a travel bag for hubby. (A heavy vinyl would be good for the back piece.) At first I thought I missed something.
