I was thinking a set with fairy tales: Red Riding Hood, Grandma and the Big Bad Wolf, maybe the woodsman and RR's mommy; Rapunzel, Witch and Prince, maybe the tower as well; Three Little Pigs and Wolf, perhaps their cottages too; What others would you like to see? Also, nursery rhymes: Cat & fiddle, Cow jumping over moon, little laughing dog, dish and spoon; Jack Horner with his Christmas Pie and plum; Jack-Be-Nimble jumping over his candle; Any other suggestions here? Perhaps a "Mother Goose" basket for storage. Zoo animals: Elephant, giraffe, lion, tiger, zebra, seal, polar bear, Zoo Keeper, monkey and/or gorilla, penguin, maybe one or two more, with a Zoo Cage for storage (similar to the barn from Old MacDonald set). What do you think of these? |

Cutiepie, I am a newwbie and I would like to add a little saying under my name. I can not find out how to do this. I am a Red Hatter and would like to use my royal name "Empress Sew & Sew". We are a bunch of silly old ladies having fun while wearing red and purple.
Can you help me, please. Crickie |

Yes! Fairy Tales would be great. Our children today don't know the old fairy tales like we were brought up with. How about Professional People: Teacher, Policeman, Nurse, Dr., etc.
And Family: Mom, Dad, Sis, Brother, Baby, Grandma, Grandpa, pet, etc. |

My daughter goes nuts over the princesses.
Cinderella (container is the coach or castle), Beauty and the Beast, The Little Mermaid (container could be a shell), and other classic story tales that have been around for centuries. (Disney borrowed the stories). Robin Hood, Jungle Book could be for boys. When I was a child they used to have paper dolls of the children of the world, each hand puppet could be a diffrent nationality (Irish dancer, Dutch child with tulip, French with beret, Chinese child in typical clothing etc.) You could do one set of girls and one set of boys. http://www.farsinet.com/tambr/iri_childrenofworld.html The little red hen might be cute. What about holiday finger puppets (Christmas - santa, elf, reindeer or nativity set, Muliple holiday set (cupid, leapracaun, child in uniform for Memorial Day and 4th of July, Easter - bunny, chick, egg, other spring time baby animals)? My daughter would use them as Little People so why not a family set (Mommy, Daddy, sister, brother, baby, Grandma, Grandpa, doggy, cat)? Cynthia |

How about the Gingerbread man? Container could be an oven or just a bag. Need Gingerbread man, Old Lady, Old Man, Horse, Cow, Cat, and Fox. If the container is a bag, an eight design could be added that is the words "Gingerbread Man" or "Run, un as fast as you can." This has been a favorite of my grandchildren for a very long time and it has such a good moral to the story.

Hi,
My eyes aren't what they used to be..nor my hands for detail work by hand. Everything is so PC these days...but I myself would have to go simple for above reasons.LOL fruit "people"/characters...throw in a cookie or cupcake person?I embroidered some,it taught my grandaughter and she liked it. (an 80 plus yr old granny invented Barney). Anything colorful...with eyes and a smile..even simple...the little ones love. All nice ideas... |
