Had my first pt, calling it my own personal torturer (LOL). But it is help9. I learned how to drive a wheelchair. Good thing I have strong arms. I did see where the fractures are, I actually have 2, and I understand why I hurt so much. Am very thankful that it wasn't a complete break as then I would have needed surgery which would have taken longer to heal.

Whizzing around in a wheelchair is good exercise when you are forced to be off your feet for a while, so that's lucky. It's also good to know that your bones are strong enough not to have broken which bodes well for a full recovery.
I hope you get up to all sorts of mischief whilst you are holidaying in that facility - you don't want to give boredom a chance.

The hardest bit is moving yourself in and out of bed. My PT showed me how to lift my led when I had my hip replacement, it made life so much easier for me. You will be building upper body strength using the wheel chair. Did you see the photo Sandy posted on her Facebook page of the three of you?

I just saw this. Sorry, you are hurt. Praying that you recover quickly. I remember working like a madwoman to get back to walking, again. I was afraid that the therapist would have a heart attack lifting me out of the bed. I was in the hospital so long, in 2013, that my muscles from the shoulders down had atrophied. I can walk on my own without any walkers or crutches, now. It's funny how you can be proud of the simplest things. I loved that triangle that they had hanging over my head. I still have a weird way of getting in and out of bed. Hey !! It works . Many prayers going your way.

I am doing pt 2 times a day. Things are getting easier but still lots of pain. See orthopedic surgeon tomorrow so hopefully will find out when I can go home.

Went to Orthopedic surgeon yesterday. Had x-rays taken. No movement in fractures which is a good thing. Should heal in about 2 more weeks. When I get to go home will be dependent on how well I am deemed safe. But I think it will be the latter part of next week. Other than my pelvic I am in good health. Continuing prayers for quick healing is appreciated.

Glad to hear you got some good news. Praying for complete healing soon. Don't rush things though, you don't want a setback.
