    Default Fractured pelvic

Yesterday I was having lunch with jacosandy and 2 other ladies in the area, when I slipped and fell. Was taken to hospital by ambulance. Unable to walk. Am on pain meds, should be going to assisted living facility for a few days. Any posting will be via my phone. Prayers are
    requested and appreciated.

Here's wishing you a full and speedy recovery, Shastasmom. I'm glad you will be getting some support for a while, but hope that you will be back home in your own surroundings before too long. There's no place like home.
    Soft hugs to you.

Such bad news. Praying for your quick and complete recovery. Are you in a cast or are the muscles holding things together?

That is some good news. Glad you don't have to struggle with a cast. I cracked my hip when I was in 2nd grade. I also didn't have to have a cast and soon healed - easier when you're young. Plus my dad could haul me around when I needed to be moved. Hope you're up and about soon.

Oh so it was you who slipped at the restaurant Shastasmom. What a way to end such a nice meet up. My thoughts are with you.

Thanks for the update. May you have smooth sailing from here on out. We want you back soon in perfect working order
Ess has beaten me to the punch on the updates lately which is fine with me, as long as someone is doing it.

Ruth has dementia and has no comprehension of what has happened except she is in a lot pain when she moves her ankle and cannot understand why she has to lie on her back and wants the IV out as well as the oxygen removed. It is very hard for Dianna to cope with. i am more worried that she will develop pneumonia. She is supposed to have the hip repaired at 11am Texas time.

more to the point, how are feeling today? I know that is a silly question under the circumstances. At least you got to meet up with Sandy before your slip. Has the restaurant been in touch with you?

Still bad for someone of her age. And yes pneumonia is a big concern under those circumstances

I only hurt when I move, but am keeping up with pain meds. See doctor on 21st July.
