    Default color chart conversion software

When I download new designs in a zip file, the colors are often changed after extraction. I use PES files formy Brother Dream machine. It drives me crazy to find a blue dog for instance. The file should be 10 shades of brown and now it is blues and greens. I could never duplicate the original colors without a ton of playing around.

I often buy designs for the colors alone! Does anyone know of any type of automatic color conversion software? I currently have the complete suite of embrilliance products but I need a color chart converter, something that would change Madeira to Brother threads for instance. HELP!! Any info would be greatly appreciated.

I totally understand how you are feeling. There are several free programs you can use. I made a list of the colors I used repeatedly so that I didn't have to search every time I did a project. Some of the programs give you several choices, these can be weird to use.
One of the things that really bothers me is when I get a set that was stitched and photographed on felt. These give the designs a very rich look that you do not get when you use fabric for quilting or clothing other than fleece. What appears on felt for a bold line can appear on quilt fabric as a thin single stitched line that is hard to see.

Anyways I hope these help. AND Welcome to the site.

Thanks so much. I will try these links and hopefully find a program. I agree with the felt issue... makes a big difference! We all have our pet peeves hopefully I can solve mine. Good luck with yours and thank you so much for taking the time to look up the sites and post here!!!
