    Cool 9x 13 cake cozie

I recently got back into embroidery and decided to tackle a cake cozie. I chose denim blue placemats, one set has tassels. I chose to leave the tassels on for interest. It turned out cute. I think the only thing I would change is the first color change from silver against the off white center of the placemat. Not sure what color right now I would choose, but definitely not white if I remake this one!

I'm very happy with my little cozie!!

The cake cozzie is interesting, I like the choice of fabric Darlene. The tassels are a focal point.

Darlene, I think that your colour choices are spot on for this project, and I do like the embroidery design. Did you purchase it or was it something you composed yourself?

    Thanks Veronica!

No, I did not compose this one, I did purchase it. I think the very top part of the design gets lost in the fabric...maybe gold would of been a brighter choice.... Not sure.

    Thanks for the feedback!

It has a lovely 'vintage' look to it. Do you remember which site you got the design from?

Darlene, I like your cake cozie. If you are going to change the color of the white to something else, I think I would do it in red, with the lettering on the banner the same. Red always goes with denim. I also like the tassels on the one design.

I found the design in the EmbLibrary catalogue J8681/2/3 depending on the size. It's definitely going in my wishlist.

Hi Dar,I like the cake cozie as well. With the denim, a dark navy or black like the smaller letters would also be nice instead of the white.Great job!Hkegen
