These are quite expensive, and I haven't used any of them, but worth a look :

My grand plan is to make tiime period costumes for my Barbie's. I have the patterns and the fabric (dolls too) but have not made the dresses yet. My machine was acting up, she finally died and I bought the embroidery machine in late September. Now I embroider everything and have still not gotten to my dolls!

    Default Barbie Patterns

The only place I've found on the internet so far is:

    Hope this helps.

    Here's more :

http://mellebugandme.wordpress.com/2...ress-tutorial/ - A cute vintage-inspired dress, link for patterns and tutorial inside.

http://donnernblitzen.tripod.com - a cute dress here - and if you have 16-inch Tonner dolls, peek under her 'Crafts' heading for free patterns for them. I worked up her Tonner design, and it is *gorgeous* !

http://embyquinn.tripod.com/dollpats.html - Emby Quinn's free patterns are easy and fun to work up. Don't forget to get both pages !

http://www.printmini.com/printables/pp.shtml - Not clothes patterns, but printable, foldable miniatures for setting scenes. I love the antique radio and tiny calendars !

Here's a few I have on my site - not really patterns, more like directions.

http://dorriebelle.tripod.com/id30.html - Peasant blouses to fit any doll, endlessly adaptable and easy.

http://dorriebelle.tripod.com/id27.html - Doll clothes from socks - great practice for working with knit fabrics.

http://dorriebelle.tripod.com/id32.html- Making doll belts from watch bands. Perhaps better for larger dolls, but there's still some ideas here.

I also have directions on how to make doll wigs cheap, repainting too-pink Barbie furniture, a couple commercial pattern reviews, and such. Feel free to look around my scattered website whenever you're bored ! http://dorriebelle.tripod.com/

    Dorrie, who kinda likes dolls.

You can make clothing for the dolls that matches your own civil war clothing. How cool that would be!!!! I have yet to see a reenactment but plan too in the future. I am a real history buff!
