Yep, danced in my chair last night. tee hee Boy howdy, I sure missed y'all yesterday. Coffee is good this morning. I don't drink, but it was late night. After we got home we stayed up until 3 a.m just talking. But it's so great to visit with DH brother. We haven't seen him in almost 7 years.

Maybe be able to check in later tonight.

Took me a while to find this thread today with all the crap that two of our new people have been posting. Those two glasses of wine were about my limit--and they were small cocktail-size glasses at that. The retirement party was for a colleague of hubby's whom I had never met him until last night. I've been in semi-retirement since 2003 when I closed my screen printing shop. Just not old enough yet to draw on my retirement funds.

Did you enjoy the party?

We had a tear-soaked breakfast this morning, but when our cleaning lady came, she composed herself, and in the afternoon she went back to her own appartment. I'm going to see her there tomorrow afternoon, don't want to leave her alone all day.

The party was nice--full of PhDs, MDs, medical students and their spouses. The guest of honor turns out to be a real dead pan comic in life and profession. He was wearing a tie that had been embellished with a photo of himself. When opening up one of his gifts--which was unmistakable as a tie box--he made the comment that it was going to be difficult to top the tie he currently was wearing. It turned out to be another embellished tie--a photo of him wearing the tie! It was very funny!!

Had a couple of glasses of wine and plenty of delicious hors d'oeuvres so I didn't have to cook dinner.

I don't know how old your daughter is but aren't you glad we are no longer that age to have to go thru such things as tho the world has ended.

she'll be 23 next week...
and I'm afraid you never can get old enough not "have to go thru such things as tho the world has ended" - just the reasons why change

She is so young to have to go thru such heartache. Maybe things will work out for them to get back together or by this time next week it'll hurt less. I do hope so.
