      Default best place to get stabilizer

      I was purchasing stabilizer at Joann fabrics but they have discontinued selling it except iron on. Where is the best place to go to to order it? I'm at a loss cause the nearest other place is about a 45-60 minute drive to buy it.

      Thanks so much,
      Julie

      I buy mine where I bought my sewing machine.
      I have wondered it there is much difference between stabilizer and interfacing - has anyone ever tried that?

      This site is the best I've found for stabilizers in the USA, don't know about the other countries.

      I have purchased embroidery threads through this designs by sick Canadian part of the site. I love them and they arrived promtly. Although I have not pursed there stabilizers I would give them a try. I saw that they sell stabilizers on both there Canadian and U.S. site.

      Oh yes I tried interfacing Elen, don't use it... my machine was linted up, it was not stable I have used the interfacing as part of the wadding when doing projects that needed a bit of strength for later use, I make a lot of totes but always use stabilser.

      Gosh, my Joanne's has a whole shelf plus of different type of stabilizers. When I get one of their 40%or 50% off coupons, I buy a whole bolt.

      I'm not sure where you're from; but, JoAnn's is also online. So, if that is where you prefer to buy from JoAnn's, you can do so online.
      http://www.joann.com/joann/home/home.jsp

      There are also other good online sources, such as ABC embroidery

      Forgot to suggest that, if you use JoAnn's online, you can also find coupons for them online....and, the coupons are well worth the bother.

      The others I mentioned might also have online coupons and sometimes, the site itself sends me coupons. You do have to sign up to receive the coupons from the sites.

      Question: I currently buy from the store that I got my machine from, but I'm looking for an online source. The product I'm looking for is the plastic Wash Away that you use as a topper for embroidering towels and the such. The one I've been buying is Brewer OeSD AquaFilm 12"x10 yards. Does SICK have a similar product? If so, can someone provide a link?

      Thanks bunches! Jules

      Fred, the description on this one says:

      * Water soluble stabilizer
      * For sheer, lightweight and fine fabrics
      * Easily removed with warm water
      * 35 micron thickness

      If that helps.

      PawsomeDogz, it's the same stabilizer that you're using as a topper and the price is right, just the shipping is a little high, but if you purchase several rolls, it makes the shipping price more reasonable.

      You wanted to know if this is the same topper that you've been purchasing at your local dealer and the answer is yes, it is.

      Okay, sometime I can't help but laugh ... when I do not communicate properly.

      So, my question is: You say if I purchase several rolls, etc. My question is, purchase *what* rolls, from *where*?
