Carla, my towel arrived today. It's beautiful! Thank you! Yes, it did bring a big smile to my face. 😀 I will let you know when I get yours in the mail. It will probably be Monday. I do most of my embroidering on weekends.

Thank you caliciae for your towel. It is very lovely and enhances my kitchen as all of the towels have done.

I'm not stressing, I completely understand about how life can get busy. Sounds like you'll have some jealous neighbors with all the good smells cooking up at your place

CindyMae, this swap is over. Basically the way a swap works, a theme is chosen and those who are interested, sign up. You are given a time limit to complete the items. If its for dish towels as this one was, they you mail each person in the swap a dish towel that you have enhanced with at least an embroidery design. If it's a quilt block swap, a block for each person is mailed to the coordinator hosting the swap, along with money to mail the blocks back. Once the blocks are received and coordinated, the coordinator mails each person their set of blocks to be made into a quilt.

I think that the easiest way to find out how it works is to read through this thread from the start. It should be a fairly easy thing to organise, but this one actually took the best part of six months to be completed. - If you want to organise one, you need to get a bunch of participants to agree on what to embroidery (if it matters whether the dish towels are cotton or waffle weave or terry etc.) and if there will be a theme or not (I think that this one was 'spring'). Once you know how many want to take part, that will determine how many you each need to embroider, and the one organising it will need to compile a mailing list that will be given to each of them in private messaging (so that addresses will not be displayed in the public forum). Every one needs to embroider x number of towels and post one to each participant, and they should in turn recieve one from each of the others...............I shouldn't think that it would be so easy to deal with if there are various different countries involved, so I don't expect to join in as I am in the UK (unless someone starts a UK swap of course).
