      Default conversion charts

      Hi anyone,

I'm chasing a conversion chart for the different brand cottons. I currently have brother embroidery cotton but my local sewing machine place carries Maderia

      thanks in advance

Check out the conversion charts available from The Sewphiscated Stitcher. I don't know if the numbers for the different types of thread are the same.

Here is a threadchart I use - you can change the FROM and TO brands at the top of the page:

Thanks la cole and Sonia, this will make it a bit easier as I'm starting to run out of brother thread and have considered changing threads being Maderia has more range of colours

Diedri66, DBS sells thread with the same numbering system as Brother. Have you checked that out for purchasing more thread?

thanks Shastasmom, I did know that but was looking at trying to buy from a local store. Being a small town business I know what it's like to try and survive with people buying online all the time. Specially since by the time I pay freight to get it to Australia it would be after christmas before I'd get it too. Thanks all the same
