Default Wicked Witch Hat 3D FSL

I recently downloaded the Wicked Witch Hat and I have tried to stitch it out 3 seperate times on 2 different embroidery machines. Each time 1 of the sides does not stitch out correctly...threads are not connecting to make it FSL. I am just wondering if anyone else has had any problems with this design...or if there was a fix posted that I missedThank you

I just used my stitch simulator and it appears to be fine. However, tomorrow I am going to stitch it out and see how it goes. But, it does look good in my software. Is it possible you have a file that was corrupted in the download process or the transfer to usb and then to your embroidery machine? What format are you using? I use pes and that looks good.

I just checked with Rhonda on this set. She is certain the problem is stabilizinh problem.
She advised to read the instructions thoroughly (Rhonda creates EXCELLENT tutorials for her sets) and make sure you are using two layers of water soluble stabilizer and read the instructions/tutorial on how to make your hoops hold more securely!
If you do continue to have a problem, click the Support link on the website and make sure you give all of the details of how you stitched it, what you used, etc - and include a picture.

The pics online are actual stitchouts on the website so you can see that these designs DO stitch out correctly.

I have finished sewing out the design. the stabiliser when embroidering the large pieces of the hat moved, so the final satin stitching did not meet the design, the brims using this method were fine, so I doubled the wss stabiliser tightened the hoop as far as possible and did the lot again. No problems with all three pieces, just make sure i did another stitch out with stabiliser doubled and it worked a treat again. I used fibrous WSS for each test. I might add I did not read the tutorial.

I now have three little hats , the first one I fixed using my sewing machine by adding zig zag stitch to that bit that did not meet edge and honestly you can't tell the difference. I used PES Format and a Brother V3, the other thing I did was make sure I used 75/11 needle and 40wt thread top and bottom. I am sure it is a stabilising problem

Thank you. I did use the extra water soluble stabilizer. The second time around I used 3 pieces of stabilizer. But I appreciate your quick response

      Thank you again

My hoops are bound with shelf liner for extra grip, I have used hooping tape with success, but have none at the moment, can only get it in the States, so have to wait for the next trip over there.

I used one layer of fibrous WSS and one layer of film WSS on the one in the photo made sure I had plenty of WSS so the hoop is gripping. It will be the right hand side of the hoop where there is pulling to the left, this is why the last lot of stitching does not connect with the design, so you have to get the right hand side of the WSS anchored so there is no pulling to the left, hence the shelf liner on the outer frame of the hoop. I hope you can see in the photograph what I am talking about.

I am using film WSS for the second layer as I am also running low on the fibrous stabiliser, I buy it in the 100 yard rolls when I am over in Texas, that way i can bring it back without paying exorbitant import duty and shipping fees. Things are so expensive here in England.

Thank you. That is a great tip to try with my hoops. I will be trying that 😊

You are very welcome. Some of us oldies forget about the tricks we learned years ago. i always teach my new ladies about making sure of the grip on the hoops. This is why I have no Hoop Tape, gave it to some beginners, but have plenty of shelf liner to hand.

I purchase the grip at the Dollar Store. Here is a link to Criswell's tutorial on prepping hoops with grip using Wonder Tape.

Saround, I am so glad, that we have help resolve the problem for you. I have tested designs for different digitisers and know when a problem is encountered it does get sorted before the design is offered for sale. As a tester I have to be sure it is not a problem caused by me.

FSL is one of the difficult tests to do. I have found the main problems people have is in the hooping of the stabiliser and that the correct stabiliser is used.

I look forward to seeing more of your creations.
