It is good when a plan looks like coming together Granny Elen. Now to get settled back into a routine for yourself now you are home.

Glad the council is now going well Phillipa. You certainly have things happening.

Declan looks very handsome in his uniform, you must be very proud of him Lizsam. Glad you are feeling better.

My fabric use up campaign is going well.

      Good morning, girls.

I have not been around for a long time and missed out on a lot of things happening around the world.

I don't really have an excuse, except for a total hip replacement and still not being able to put weight on the leg. I am now totally dependant on crutches or a walker, which was not the case before - I could walk around the house without help. This is so frustrating and the result is I am bad-tempered all the time.

I need to ask a favour: Some of you have an account on my website. Can you please try and login and let me know what the result is? New customers tried to create an account and was not able to login again, nor could they place an order.

Thanks in advance for your help.

      Thanks, TurtleOwl.

Have you cleared your cookies and cache? In Chrome, you simply press Ctrl-Shift-Delete. I am not sure in other browsers how to do it. The webservice installed a certificate and it seems to have messed things up. I have changed it, but had to clear all cookies and cache before I could log in.

I tried to hoop today and this time it went a bit better, but I don't think I will be embroidering or sewing for a while.

I have to do physio again, which starts next week - will see what happpens after that.

Hi Sonia, you have been missed. Hopefully physio will go good for you and you will be able to get around better than before. I just had no problem signing into your site. Oh by the way, I use firefox. How is MC doing? I do hope you have help around your house. I applaud you for getting around on crutches. They scare me.

As you probably read, I broke my right foot and currently I get around in a wheelchair and a walker. I was cleared by the doctor to use a knee scooter, but I don't think that would work for you, as you would be putting weight on your hip.

In the good news department, had my foot x-rayed on Monday and the doctor said it is healing and I won't be needing surgery. Have 4 more weeks of being house bound.

Lizsam, you have a very handsome young grandson. How is Jack doing?

Penny, may you have a wonderful vacation this year. It sounds wonderful and I know you will post picks when you can.

Phillipa, glad you were able to whip the council into shape. I know it will stay that way while you are on it.

Granny Elen, enjoy your grandbabies while they are young. They grow up so fast.

MC is doing fine, still knitting. I am glad to hear you are getting better, Shastasmom. Thanks for letting me know about the login.

I am used to the crutches, I have been using them for years, but only when I leave the house. Depending on where I was going, it was a choice of crutches, wheelchair or electric scooter. In and around the house I could walk without help. Now I have a crutch stuck to my arm permanently, which infuriates me.

Peter's wife passed away the weekend before last, so he has gone back to Zimbabwe for a while. I am not sure when he is coming back, so I have no help at the moment. Having said that, DMW is a great help and tries very hard to make things easier for me.

Sonia, so glad to hear MC is still knitting. My condolences to Peter on the loss of his wife. Yes, I can understand how having to walk with crutches in your house would infuriate you. Hopefully the physio will make it better for you.

Well I got my knee scooter yesterday. I am going to enjoy using it to get around. I was able to go outside on my deck for the first time since I broke my foot. That was so nice, being outside.

lacole, ah the joys of home ownership! I'm glad you got service quickly.
Our house is now quiet. Daughter and family came last week so local kids were over to visit.
I finished the quilt for the couple. But have come to realize sewing flares up the arthritis so bad. I'm not sure how much sewing is in my future.
I hope you all have a great week!

The quilt is beautiful, granny elen!

I have done some embroidery and sewn some rows of a quilt together, but it is really slow going. At the current rate, I will have the two quilts done by Christmas, then it is the pillow slips and the curtains which will probably be finished in time for next winter.

Good news for me. I saw the doctor yesterday and my foot is healing. I can now sleep at night without the boot. I can also start walking with the boot on and a walker as long as I don't overdo it.

Its been a while since any of our friends have been on here. Hope everyone is ok.

Hurrah for Shastasmom! I'm sure this will make your life a little easier. I've also noticed that there isn't and chatter going on here like in the past. Hopefully we'll hear from others soon.

Hi all. I am here, just a lot of stressful family drama going on and a seemingly endless list of medical appointments. I am back in physical therapy to help combat some of my pain and my doctor has put me back on the meds that work for me after several months of failed trials of medicines that are supposedly a better choice in the attempt to get away from the opiate type treatments. I have not even gotten the energy to turn on machines since grands were here and I made bags with them. Hoping for more peaceful times to come soon, as I have several projects I want to do, but don't want to attempt until I have time to take the time, as I know a rushed job will be all sorts of mess ups.

I'm so sorry you have been having problems with pain. I understand because I have back problems and have been on pain pills for some years. I also have steroid injections in my spine to help with the pain. I hope you can get some energy back soon as doing some sewing or embroidery is always therapeutic for me.

Those grandkids can be hard on us! They pass on their germs, make us play too hard overworking our muscles, and, in general, tire us out. But all worth it!!!

My grandchildren are older than yours so I have very different challenges with them! But I agree that they are worth it.
