      Default Csarina here

I have been a machine embroiderer for a number of years using Janome machines. I had an 11000 as my first combined machine which I sold and bought the 12000 when it came out. Unfortunately I had to sell that machine which almost broke my heart and have been using a normal sewing machine until a few weeks ago when I exchanged my Atelier 7 for the Atelier 9. I am finding that I have forgotten such a lot and its being a steep learning curve but I am getting there.

One of the first things I embroidered when I had my 11000 was a ring pillow, I cannot remember how many I have made since. FSL angels were the hext thing I attempted, again so many friends asked for a set, one set of 12 went to a nun in Italy, the aunt of a friend.

I am looking forward to incorporating machine embroidery into my other hobby - quilting, and making cards for close friends and family.

Welcome back to the world of machine embroidery, csarina. I'm sure that all you previously learned will come back in no time.

Welcome, so nice to meet you. All that you learned previously will return. It's like riding a bicycle, you don't really forget how to do it.

Hi, Csarina, and welcome! Embroidered quilt blocks are a great way to combine your two hobbies. I bet most of your learning curve is just getting used to the new brand. I have a friend who has a Janome and it is quite different from my brother. I haven't tried embroidering cards yet. I intended to do that this year.
